Where are the Turks and Caicos Islands?

It is easy to reach the Turks and Caicos Islands by air. There are several direct flights from major US and Canadian cities including New York, Boston, Charlotte, Atlanta, Miami, and Toronto either daily or bi-weekly. There is also a weekly flight from London Gatwick via Antigua. American Airlines, United Airways, Jet Blue, West Jet and British Airways all serve the international airport on Providenciales (PLS).

The islands are not as far south as the Caribbean Islands and lie 575 miles south east of Miami at the tail end of the Bahamian Islands. Although geologically part of the Bahamas the Turks and Caicos Islands are a UK Overseas Territory. Visas are not required for most foreign nationals and immigration paperwork can be completed upon arrival. Return airline tickets are required for non-residents.
